David Wenngren started 1631 Recordings in 2015 with an idea of releasing modern classical music ideal for sync. So far, the label has put out just over 1,000 releases, and has garnered over 1 billion streams. Thanks to the partnership with Decca, the label has had ad placements for Google, Carling and Land Rover, as well as numerous placements in trailers and TV.
Their roster has some of the best contemporary classical and electronic composers/writers including Akira Kosemura, Hoshiko Yamane, and Diana Yukawa.
